Introducing the brand-new Type B RCD from Proteus Switchgear. Now available as a 63 A rated 2-module device with 30mA earth leakage protection – this device is fitted with a Type B filter ensuring tripping for AC currents, pulsating DC currents and smooth DC fault currents.

Proteus Switchgear’s Type B RCDs are suitable for many applications, where more comprehensive detection is required as Type B RCDs have the capability to detect various fault currents, including smooth DC fault currents.

Applications which may require a Type B RCD include Electric vehicle charging, solar installations, as well as when installing an air source heat pump. This device is  exclusively available from CEF. The Proteus Type B RCD offers ultimate earth leakage protection and can be retrofitted into any existing Proteus Switchgear Consumer Unit install.
