Radisson Blu Sheffield Choose RDF to supply DATA2 Addressable Emergency Lighting from TM Technologie

As part of Sheffield Council’s Strategic Development Partner, Queensberry’s Heart of the City programme, the new Radisson Blu hotel will be positioned between Burgess Steet and Pinstone Street. Housing this flagship hotel’s 154 bedrooms, the new building will complement and adjoin the carefully retained Victorian façade along Pinstone Street.
Serving to enhance Sheffield’s social scene, an upmarket rooftop bar and terrace is also planned for the hotel, affording striking views over the Peace Gardens.

All exit signs and emergency lights are ONTEC and ITECH DATA2 addressable fittings from TM Technologie. The DATA2 system allows for automatic monitoring and reporting of every individual emergency light and exit sign allowing for significant savings on maintenance costs over the life of the system.
Radisson Blu go above and beyond the minimum requirements of emergency lighting providing higher levels of illuminance when required for increased visibility during any evacuation from the building. Our range of higher output luminaires provided the required high lux levels in the corridors, plant rooms and kitchens as well as outdoor areas. The number of required emergency luminaires was also reduced with the use of corridor optics and high output luminaires which allow wide spacings between fittings.
Our Technical team visited the site for pre-installation meetings with the electrical contractors to ensure any queries were addressed before the wiring and installations works began.
The hotel is expected to be open late 2023.
