Eldon helps ensuring Royal opening goes without a hitch

12-02-2016

When you have been in the business of producing, ageing and packaging cheese as a family business for over 125 years, building a new factory is a major investment. And for Holland’s Royal A-ware it was only natural to use the very best equipment suppliers to help ensure the new factory maintained the highest possible standards in an industry where human health and safety are foremost.

Customer problem solved

“Being chosen as the preferred supplier of enclosures for the new factory by Royal A-ware  was not only prestigious, but also rock-solid confirmation of our no-substitute-for-excellence approach at Eldon” said Ype-Jan van Slooten, Sales Manager Eldon Netherlands.

The new factory, which covers 16,000 sq. meters of ground, was inaugurated in July 2015 by the Dutch monarch King Willem Alexander, just a few months after it was completed following a two-year build project. The pristine factory comprises a 500sq.meter milk reception area, a pre factory and cheese making, storage and logistics areas.

“Working with Eldon was a very positive experience, delivery was on time and their bespoke service was extremely flexible. They deliver reliability, flexibility, and the implementation of our specifications, prototypes and personal support. They have worked very closely with us to find the best solution.” said Jan Postmus, Project Engineer for Royal A-Ware.

Eldon solution

Eldon was an early preferred choice for the factory designers and architects who wanted to standardize building components to the largest extent possible, while also enhancing the standards expected in the food and beverage industry. Today Eldon cabinets are used throughout the new factory; in no-care, basic/medium care, dry and wet rooms.

In dry and no care zones, such as motor control centers and energy facilities, floor standing enclosures like Eldon’s MCSMCSSEKDS, and EKSS solutions have been used. In the basic/medium care or wet areas, as well as outside, wall mounted enclosures like Eldon’s AFS-series were used, while the MGRP-series of consoles have been harnessed for field connection boxes.

“We are not only proud to have delivered Eldon’s high quality, mainly stainless steel enclosures for this project, but we also are very pleased about having enjoyed excellent cooperation with Royal A-Ware at every level, from start to end,” said Ype-Jan van Slooten.
