Test Driving Talent

Summit Skills, the sector skills council for building services engineering, has published the latest edition of its Skills Insight newsletter. This edition includes an update on the success of the Test Drive Talent initiative, through which talented students are matched with sector employers for work experience.

The project focuses on those companies that don’t usually train learners, but are willing to experience the benefits of mentoring a promising young adult for a short time. So far seventeen colleges have signed up to coordinate placements in their region and recruit a range of employers willing to offer work opportunities.
