You can quickly find product in LuckinsLive using the Search Panel found on the left hand side of each page.
Search using catalogue number or keyword
This method is great if you know the catalogue number of a product and want to find the item instantly. It is also good for general searches where you only know the generic name of a product. You can also search for manufacturers here.
Enter the catalogue number (or part of the catalogue number) of the item you are searching for into the 'Search by Product' box and press the red arrow. Alternatively enter part of the product description, manufacturer or brand name or any combination of these.
If your search results in items from more than one manufacturer, LUCKINSlive will display them all for you to make a further selection. Some manufacturers will show a number in brackets after the name. This indicates the number of individual items listed which match your search criteria. If there is no number you can still see the manufacturer's contact details in some cases enhanced with the brochures, news and case studies but these manufacturers have chosen not to include lists of individual items, perhaps because they are all made to orer or bespoke.
Some manufacturers will be highlighted, this indicates they have provided additional information, e.g. Brochures, Product Images, Specification Sheets etc. If you want to know more about a product it is worth selecting these manufacturers first. Otherwise locate a manufacturer using the alphabet at the top of the page. This will take you to that manufacturers information page where you can find their full contact details and which types of products they produce.
Select the manufacturer you are interested in and then choose from the resulting menus of the manufacturer’s product ranges until the items you are looking for are displayed.
Search by Category
Select a top level product category from the list in the search panel and the panel will expand to show further sub categories and sub sub categories, select and click from the list. Follow through the search process as above.
Search for A Specific Manufacturer
Select the Manufacturers button in the search panel or from the navigation bar at the top of the page. Follow through the search process as above.
Search results page
If your search request has only one result you will be taken direct to the product page for that item. If there are more than one item that meets your criteria you will be taken to a search results page where the results are shown in a list. You just click on the catalogue number and you will be taken to the product page.
Added Information symbol
Some products in the list may have a letter i symbol next to the description. This indicates that the manufacturer has provided additional information such as technical specifications which you may download.
Filter your results
If there are many items that meet your search criteria, you can filter the results by clicking on the SHOW FILTER button. A panel will appear containing filter boxes. Either select an individual value by clicking on the blue text in one of the boxes or filter on a combination of values by checking the check boxes of the ones you want to include and pressing the APPLY FILTER button.
Product Page
Each item in LUCKINSlive has its own Product Page where you can find further information about the item. Manufacturers also supply added information about products including Images, Brochures, Specification Sheets etc.
How to view prices
To view trade prices on LUCKINSlive you need to subscribe to a LUCKINS data package. You may already be a LUCKINS subscriber, e.g. you may have an estimating or job costing software package that uses LUCKINS data or you may be a LUCKINS TraSer user.
If you are currently a LUCKINS data subscriber you will receive a verification code which together with your LUCKINS customer number enables you to log onto LUCKINSlive. If you have not received this please email us on supportstamford@amtech.co.uk and we will send it to you.
Why are some prices visible and not others
The prices shown depend on the data package you subscribe to. E.g. If you have subscribed to a mechanical services products only package, you would not see electrical prices. This means you only pay for what you need.
How to hide products that are not showing a price
When you are searching for a product you are shown all the products that meet your search criteria. You may only want to display the products that show prices. On the search results page, click the SHOW FILTER button, check the box called 'Priced Items Only' and then APPLY FILTER. This will hide all the other products from view making it even easier to locate the product you want.
