Megaman signs up to LED lighting comparison website.

20-11-2012

Megaman, one of the leading manufacturers of LED light bulbs, has signed up to feature on a new LED light comparison website, www.whichledlight.com.

Having met strict performance and safety criteria set by independent testing laboratory LUX-TSI, a UKAS accredited performance and safety testing services partner, a full range of Megaman’s LED reflector and decorative lamps will feature on the search engine site.

LED lamps from Megaman will be compared against bulbs from a number of different manufacturers including Verbatim and Toshiba on quality, performance and price helping the end purchaser make an informed decision on which LED lamp to buy.

Adrian Kitching, Director at Megaman UK, said “As soon as we heard about the concept of whichledlight.com, we knew it was something that we wanted to get involved with. With the sector really taking off, we have started to see some low cost manufacturers cutting corners in the creation of LED lamps and what looks like a good lamp may well perform badly or inconsistently. This is unfortunately tarnishing our industry so it’s great that Which LED Light has come along to bring transparency to the market and champion only LED bulbs from leading manufacturers.

“The site is really simple to use so that the consumer is easily able to find an LED lamp that suits their requirements or matches their existing lamps at the most competitive price. We look forward to working with whichledlight.com to further our relationship.”

WhichLEDLight.com has been developed to provide end users with the necessary information to make an educated decision on which LED lamp to buy for their chosen environment – whether it’s for the home, an office, a shop, a hotel or a warehouse.

The website aims to give the consumer an opportunity to learn more about the sector; showcases the best products on the market; and, helps them find the LED lamp they are looking for at the most competitive price.

James Nelson, founder of Which LED Light said: With a wealth of products on the market, the world of LED lamps is still very confusing for the average consumer, particularly if you are switching from traditional lighting methods for the first time, and we want to make the process easier.

“This consumer confusion was one of the main drivers for the creation of whichledlight.com and we have been working tirelessly with manufacturers like Megaman to ensure that we feature only LED bulbs from quality manufacturers, whose LED lamps have been independently tested to meet strict performance and safety criteria.

“Unfortunately there are some manufacturers out there giving the LED industry a bad name by falsely selling poor specification bulbs claiming to be a 50W halogen equivalent, for example, when in fact it is only a 15W equivalent.

“We aim to bring clarity to the market, comparing the quality products on the market and helping the end user make an informed decision about their LED lamp purchase. By setting high safety and performance criteria, we can be confident that only products from leading manufacturers like Megaman will be featured and sold through our site.”
