CMD Limited are pleased to announce its acquisition by IDEAL Industries Inc.
Outgoing CMD Managing Director Steve Cole explains, “The decision to sell CMD was not an easy one, however our recent trading success has made it clear to me that in order to take the business to even higher levels, we needed greater support and investment to match the company’s future growth aspirations”.
IDEAL INDUSTRIES, INC. Chairman and CEO Jim James added, “This is a great fit for us. CMD strengthens our ability to help large scale businesses simply and seamlessly expand power and technology throughout their workspaces. CMD’s technical expertise and market reputation will help us accelerate European acceptance for both our new wireless lighting control and mobile device charging systems.”
James continues, “The coming months will no doubt be an exciting time for everyone at CMD so it’s only fitting that I take this opportunity to welcome our new colleagues to the IDEAL family. And, to ensure continuity for our colleagues, customers and suppliers I am pleased to announce the appointment of Jon Holding as General Manager. Jon has over 20 years industry experience and will be responsible for the day to day running of the CMD Limited UK operation.”
