NET LED Lighting Celebrates Opening of New Premises

10-10-2018

With a Grand Opening Celebration, NET LED Lighting celebrated the move to its new premises at Buckingway Business Park in Cambridge on Friday 21st September.

Both suppliers and customers were invited to tour the new facilities which feature brand new offices, a showroom and a 36,000 sq ft warehouse to accommodate the company’s extensive product range and growing team.

NET LED was established in 2009 and distributes a wide range of commercial LED lighting nationally through electrical wholesalers.

It outgrew its previous office and warehouse facilities and needed to outsource additional warehouse space to meet demand. In July 2018, the company relocated to its new premises at Buckingway Business Park.

The new building was officially opened by Steven Davies, CEO of The Lighting Industry Association (LIA), which NET LED has been an active member of since its inception. NET LED is an Ambassador of the LIA Academy, having put many of its staff through the LIA training courses. In addition, the LIA has independently assessed NET LED and its suppliers’ quality processes and awarded NET LED its LIAQA quality assurance status.

NET LED Director, Christopher Dawes, says the new premises provide the ideal space for NET LED’s future growth: “The new offices will allow our team to expand, which is currently at 35 and counting. The warehouse is now holding 1500 pallets, which is even more stock for next day delivery, and we have the space available to nearly double this quantity. Our opening celebration is our way of thanking suppliers, customers and staff for getting us to this point.”
