Focus SB® is a British company dedicated to manufacturing electrical wiring accessories of unparalleled quality for 40 years. Industry pioneers, our sockets and switch-plates are highly sought after for prestigious interiors projects, both in the UK and internationally.

We commenced trading in April 2001 as a result of a merger between Sussex Brassware Ltd (which commenced trading in 1979) and Focus Electrical Ltd (which commenced trading in 1996). In 2004, we acquired general engineering business, CH Turner & Sons Ltd and brought plate manufacturing in-house, making us the only UK electrical accessory manufacturer with total control of our manufacturing processes in-house.

Our engineering and state-of-the-art auto finishing facility enables us to be flexible and reactive to customer demands. In addition to the £150,000 investment in our auto finishing plant in 2017, we are continuing to invest in the expansion of our finishing facilities.

Unique to Focus SB, electrophoretic lacquering of polished brass plates provides durability, offering a hard wearing finish to ensure our products keep their appearance over time. We are one of the only UK manufacturers able to match our rocker and toggle switches to our plate finishes. Product innovations have seen us develop the UK’s only totally flush-fit faceplate, the Focus SB Smoothie®, in collaboration with SHH architecture and interior design practice (2014). Our USB socket is one of few products in the UK with dedicated amperage for faster charging of tablet and mobile phone and a total output of 3.1 amps. Our energy-saving hotel key card switches are rated at 32 amps, where many alternatives are not. We have designed the only fully certified 2 way and centre-off retractive toggle grid switch suitable for use with mains voltage in the UK (2017). Our quality management system is ISO 9001:2015 BSI certified.

Experienced exporter to the Middle East, we are the first in the British electrical wiring accessories manufacturing industry to develop and manufacture a product range for China, successfully licensed to manufacture and export products in 2017.

We are an accredited partner of the Society of British and International Design (SBID), with membership of the Made in Britain Campaign and China-Britain Business Council.

Extensive plate options and bespoke service ensure continuity of finish for high-end residential, luxury hotels and yacht interiors, and heritage projects including Hampton Court Palace, Corinthia Hotel London, Royal Lancaster Hotel, The Gleneagles Hotel and MGM Cotai in Macau.
