Back in 1990...

Our story began in 1990, when we saw a gap in the market to supply cable identification, termination and management products from one source. We found customers often had to shop around and were faced with poor customer service.

So, we decided this needed to change. We opened our doors for business and began supplying a range of 4,000 products not only within the UK but throughout the world – from one single location. Combine this with our dedication, knowledge and drive to always go that extra mile for our customers, and we knew we were onto something.

Fast forward to today and we are now supplying as well as manufacturing a range of over 28,000 products. We have grown and want to carry on growing. That’s why we are always looking to our customers to help us innovate to continually meet the industries demanding needs. We aim to deliver the correct product at the right time to offer everything you need from one source.

To carry on providing such a huge range of products and services, we have grown our manufacturing facilities to help support us on our journey – acquiring Betaduct in 2009 and Birch Valley in 2014. Our facilities enable us to provide bespoke solutions to our customers when they need it, without compromise. Providing an ever-increasing product range and customer service that offers expert technical advice demonstrates everything we stand for - and is supported by over 30 years of experience in the sector.

In 2016, the Cablecraft group of companies was then acquired by Diploma PLC, an international group of businesses that operate globally. This gave us the support and resources that a large organisation has to offer and further strengthened the future of Cablecraft.

In 2020, Cablecraft became apart of a new group within Diploma PLC’s controls sector, Shoal Group Limited, which combines the management of Cablecraft and FS Cables into one senior management team.

This exciting new group allows us to offer our customers not only our range of over 28,000 cable accessory products but also a range of flexible and specialist cabling, all from one source.
