The CRS Firefighter Safety Switch offers an essential layer of protection by allowing emergency responders to remotely and safely disconnect the DC current generated by rooftop solar panels.

In the event of a fire, it is critical to isolate PV modules from the rest of the electrical network to prevent electric shock and ensure safe access for firefighters. The Telergon CRS Safety Switch achieves this by automatically interrupting the DC circuit when the AC grid connection is lost—typically when the fire service disables the AC power supply to the building. Once the electrical hazard is resolved, the system automatically reconnects to resume normal operation.
