Monostable vs. Bistable Relays – The Right Switch for Every Application

• Monostable relays such as the OA5652, OA5661, and OA5662 automatically return to their default position when the control signal is removed — ideal for precise control, timing, and automation systems.
• Bistable relays including the OB5693, OB5694, and OB5623 retain their switching position after power loss, consuming energy only during switching. This makes them the perfect choice for energy-efficient or battery-powered systems where power conservation is key.

The OB5623 sets the standard for energy-efficient, fail-safe performance.

Short switching pulses of just a few milliseconds define the relay position using only 1.2 W (lock) and 0.7 W (unlock) – with zero holding power.

This significantly reduces energy use and self-heating, ensuring stable operation even under demanding conditions.

With 8 forcibly guided contacts, manual activation, and high vibration resistance, it’s ideal for railway, signalling, and safety-critical systems
