Contactum, a leading manufacturer of wiring accessories and circuit protection, has launched a brand new range of Wall Mount Enclosures that are expertly engineered from galvanised steel to protect electronic equipment from water, dust, damage or theft. These robust Enclosures are finished with an additional hard-wearing powdered top coat, offering a highly reliable, non-corrosive solution for a wide range of industrial and commercial applications.
Available in a comprehensive range of sizes, Contactum’s new Enclosure range has a high IP rating of 65 and has been designed specifically for applications that require a more robust solution than mild steel, but without the premium cost of stainless steel solutions. Another impressive feature of the range is the earth strap that, unlike alternative products on the market, is pre-fitted to dedicated anti-vibration studs within each cabinet, reducing installation time by approximately 20 minutes as well as the cost of purchasing additional parts. A sturdy gland plate situated at the bottom affords protection to all cables entering the Enclosure and a galvanised steel back plate is also included as a standard.
Suitable for indoor and outdoor installation, the cabinet can be made secure against unauthorised access with the integration of a key lock. Contactum provides locks made to full BS industry security standards, which are fitted in the centre of the door or on the top and bottom of larger models. These are also IP 65 rated, preventing water from entering the unit.

The new Wall Mount Enclosure range is suitable for use in a wide variety of industries, including power generation, energy, automation, process, highways, security, airports and railways. One recent example has seen these units installed on a railway platform to house and protect power switching and distribution equipment to enable Wi-Fi for commuters whilst waiting to start their journey.
