Flexform Ltd is a UK-based manufacturer specialising in decorative flexible cables, primarily
serving the lighting industry and small power applications. The company's roots trace back to
Northern Ireland's industrial past, founded by electrical engineer Noel Harper, whose cable
engineering expertise began with the establishment of E.J. Harper and Co in 1974. As
Northern Ireland's textile industry declined, Flexform identified a growing market demand for
colour and design in textiles, a shift the lighting industry readily embraced, shaping the

Flexform's manufacturing capabilities span twisted, coloured, and braided cables ranging
from 1mm to 40mm, produced using both natural and synthetic yarns, including fibreglass.
The company extrudes polymer insulations and overjackets in PVC, PE, PUR, and PP, and
carries out printing, spooling, and bulk cable preparation in lengths from 10m to 1000m. The
product range extends to a comprehensive selection of GU10+ lampholders and fittings,
along with inline and wall switches, giving customers everything needed to complete a

Flexform is also the official UK distributor for Calex, offering the brand's lamps, smart bulbs,
and pendant sets. The range includes decorative products,halogen-look, and dimmable
formats, as well as Calex's smart lighting line with app and voice control via Alexa, Google
Assistant, and Siri, plus compatible remotes. Further, Flexform also manufacturers switches
and Gu10+ which is awarded as an innovative product made by Noel Harper.
Quality and compliance underpin everything Flexform produces: the company maintains
LIAQA certification and is an active member of the Lighting Industry Association (LIA), and
holds UL certification to manufacture braided textile cables for the US and Canadian
markets. Beyond standard ranges, Flexform's bespoke service produces specialist
constructions including transparent flexible mains and LED cables, metallic overbraiding,
and cables reinforced with aramid fibres or tensile steel wires for heavy pendant lighting and
