Xpelair launch Contour

Xpelair, a leading provider of ventilation solutions, has launched the new Contour portfolio of discreet extract fans. Available in both AC and DC versions, the new range provides a solution for all domestic bathroom applications.

Contour is the first 100mm extract fan in the Xpelair range to feature a curved fascia over the grille for greater aesthetic appeal. With an external projection of only 48mm and a gloss white finish, the modern design of the fan allows it to blend seamlessly with any bathroom décor.

The compact Contour fan is available in both single speed AC models and three speed DC models and is ideal for new build and refurbishment bathroom installations. The fan is available in pullcord, timer and humidistat with timer variations, for greater control.

Produced at Xpelair’s Peterborough manufacturing facility, the DC versions of the Contour features a 3 speed, ultra efficient DC motor which can operate at a trickle speed, allowing the DC units to be used as a whole house dMEV solution.

DMEV systems have been proven to improve indoor air quality (IAQ), which not only helps protect the fabric of a building from condensation and mould, but also is essential to the comfort and wellbeing of inhabitants.

Installing separate Contour fans in the wet rooms of a property allows the units to operate continuously to extract stale and moist air. The efficient capabilities of the DC motors mean that users can achieve high IAQ whilst keeping running costs exceptionally low.

The unit also comes complete with easy fix ‘Quick Clamps’, making it easy to install and access for maintenance, meaning installers are able to spend less time on site. It can be wall or ceiling mounted making the range suitable for any design criteria.
