SpotClip was launched by Hellermann Tyton to provide an alternative fixing to the traditional brackets and mounts associated with downlight installation.
The marketing strategy was to create awareness of its unique selling point - that is can be fitted from inside the room - as well as highlighting the dangers of downlight installation.
The company's message on these dangers has alerted specifiers, installers and decision-makers about the common misconceptions on taking shortcuts when it comes to installation; its videos, guides and thought leadership articles within the media have ensured downlight installation is thoroughly addressed.
SpotClip was so successful that two further models have become available, and the product has enjoyed European sales in excess of two million since its launch. It has become so well received that the original SpotClip has spawned a complete range of SpotClip products for a variety of residential and building applications.
