The Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA) and the Lighting Industry Federation (LIF), have announced they are coming together to build training qualifications and expand the development of the existing training courses to satisfy the changing needs of all those engaged in lighting installation and maintenance work.

David Pollock head of the ECA said “We are delighted to be able to work with our LIF colleagues to progress qualifications and training standards for electrical contractors involved in the hugely important lighting sector. ECA and LIF also share a mutual objective to drive forward the energy efficient lighting agenda”.

The couple intend to further develope joint courses and other training projects, and hope this collaboration will promote increased specification and installation of cost and energy saving lighting solutions within existing buildings as well as new properties.

Members of both Associations, will be able to take advantage of reciprocal member rates across existing ECA and LIF training courses.
