Dispute resolution for HVCA members

HVCA members are now able to take advantage of an in-house mediation service, described as ‘quick and inexpensive’. The process is completely confidential and the parties to the dispute remain in control. The service managed by Rob Driscoll, a solicitor in the Association’s Commercial and Legal Department.

The HVCA says that most mediations only last a day and costs per mediator are typically in the region of £300 – plus the mediator’s expenses.

Courts now expect any companies in dispute to attempt some form of alternative dispute resolution before going further with litigation, and mediation is the most popular form of dispute resolution.
